Happy re-entry returns to all IBAA Members, Sponsors, and Speakers who attended our 15th Annual IBAA Conference in Vegas October 4-6th, 2012! It’s always a huge payback to attend the conference and return re-energized on ideas to grow our indoor operations and it’s all thanks to the members and attendees sharing success stories. As the Monte Carlo says, “We’re all VIPS,” and I couldn’t agree more as our members and sponsors gather and share a jackpot of info, and this year was outstanding. Speaking of payback (aside from any casino winnings), much thanks to David Turner from Johnny Advertising for the major assist on conference coordination and specifics of the event. David was our “Cruise Director” and we’re grateful for his help. Also thanks to the IBAA Officers/Directors Tim Shoemaker, Ruben Garcia, John Jolley, Chuck Nelms, Brian Wyatt and Hugh Jolly on ideas on content and the ongoing vision of the IBAA. Between the mingling and happy hours, we had amazing insight on the future of indoor and ideas to expand our local market offerings thanks to an impressive overview of New Ad Media (www.newad.com) and their stellar successes presented to us by Brian Wyatt. Brian touched ancillary marketing ideas…

All attending at various tasks at hand. Davo was meeting various Casinos across the Made for Entertainment City for the Upcoming Fantastic Annual IBAA Conference to be held in October (for those of you not planning to attend – you are a bunch of losers). Tim was strolling down the long aisles of Venders located at the respective sprawling show looking for potential national clients and sponsors for the IBAA (he also checked out…

Attending a few workshops solidified our understanding that although building digital networks supported only by advertising has some challenges there are some “lessons learned…
During the busy holiday party season, the members of the Indoor Billboard Advertising Association (IBAA) have been spreading the word of the risks of "Buzzed Driving" via a branded coaster advertising campaign distributed nationwide at popular drinking establishments. The Ad Council sponsored campaign is targeted to a 21 and over drinking audience, with the message "Thank you for not driving buzzed last night. You saved my life" placed on directly on beverage coasters. Coasters are distributed via IBAA member firms throughout the US in over 40 Markets. The campaign is also referenced in strategically positioned ad posters within the restrooms of the establishments over the course of the holiday season. The combined Buzzed Driving coaster and posters generate an estimated 13 Million impressions over the duration of the campaign. "Thanks to the drink coasters, once bar patrons reach the bottom of their beverage glass, they'll notice the message, and they might want to think twice before getting behind the wheel", states Ruben Garcia, President of Johnny Boards based in Albuquerque, NM, and an IBAA member. “They’ll also notice the unavoidable posters in the restrooms, making them think again,” adds Garcia “Our IBAA member firms are grateful to help spread the word…
